Northrop Grumman’s Employee Communications team is seeking a strategic, collaborative communicator to join the Integration and Channel Strategy team. This role will drive integration efforts across our Employee Communications – and broader enterprise teams. In this role, you will partner closely with sector and functional teams to advance cross-enterprise initiatives, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and optimize our internal communications channels.

This position reports to the Employee Communications manager for Northrop Grumman’s Integration and Channel Strategy team.

In this job, you’ll:

- Serve as an enterprise integration driver, partnering with sectors and functional teams on cross-enterprise initiatives, serving as a communications advisor and helping connect enterprise priorities to business needs.
- Identify areas where channels, tools, and processes are used inconsistently and develop practical recommendations, standards and templates that drive organizational effectiveness and create alignment.
- Design and maintain frameworks, messaging and resources that make it easier for communicators to plan, organize and share content in a consistent, employee-centric way.
- Help refine our overall Communications Ecosystem – especially how we use core channels – and use metrics and feedback to recommend improvements.
- Support high-level, cross-enterprise events, assisting with tactical communications and strategic rollout of key themes and storytelling.
- Ensure all communications plans and tactics are consistent with the company’s strategic vision and reflect the Northrop Grumman brand.
- Work closely with Communications and functional partners across the sector and corporation to align messages, share best practices and support integrated communications efforts.
- Serve as a channel lead back-up, helping with syndication, all-employee message sends, and updating/maintaining our intranet and digital signage.

- Excel at brainstorming, working alongside a creative team and thinking outside the box to develop innovative approaches — while also knowing when to apply proven, traditional communications tactics to achieve business goals.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from accredited university with five (5) plus years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or three (3) plus years of communications experience with Master-level degree from accredited university. An additional four years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Possess a high level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.

- Affinity for developing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Strong business presence with a history of cultivating trusting relationships with multiple teams and leaders.

- Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude.
- Experience leveraging data to create and execute communications strategies, plans, programs and events.
- Understanding of Associated Press writing style.
- Aerospace and Defense experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
