Per Diem Patient Registrar – Interventional Radiology – Days – Weill Cornell

As a Patient Registrar, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience, from arrival through registration and scheduling. You’ll be responsible for:

- Greeting patients with professionalism, warmth, and respect
- Registering and pre-registering patients accurately in our system
- Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating with referring providers
- Securing pre-certifications and authorizations to support timely reimbursement
- Preparing necessary documentation and communicating financial responsibilities
- Interface with referring offices/departments

Above all, you’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care - helping them feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.

Schedule : This is a per diem day shift position that will work Wednesdays-Fridays from 8:00am-4:00pm within the Radiology Department at our Weill Cornell site and DHK Reception Area.

Preferred Criteria

- Some college
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
- Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements
- Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4

Required Criteria

- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of clerical experience
- Effective communication, along with phone and computer skills
