Role Overview
The Sr Services Leader – Military Avionics leads GE Aerospace’s global Military Services business end-to-end, with full profit-and-loss (P&L) ownership and responsibility to grow the military aftermarket portfolio. Military Services is part of a $150M business and is one of the most profitable and strategically important parts of the Avionics portfolio.
The role will own Orders, Revenue, Operating Margin, and Cash commitments, set a clear customer-driven strategy, and partner with Operations and Supply Chain to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes that deepen relationships across airframers, militaries, and depots, all while building a high-performing, lean, and globally-engaged team.
This hands-on role requires a leader who thrives on going to Genba, whether that is the shop floor, the engineering lab, or the customer site, to problem-solve alongside with the team. The leader will also bring an AI-savvy mindset, applying AI to improve operational performance, drive efficiency, and improve customer outcomes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the global Military Services business by defining and executing strategies to deliver Orders, Revenue, Operating Margin, and Cash to budget and forecast.
- Create strong operating cadences that build problem-solving capability, drive decisions at speed, and produce rapid issue resolution and escalation.
- Shape and execute growth strategies for the global Avionics military aftermarket, including pipeline development, pricing, and deal economics, to capture additional market share and grow the portfolio.
- Own key customer relationships by mapping decision-makers and aligning offerings to customer strategies across airframers, primes, militaries, and depots.
- Guide negotiations and issue resolution to hit business-case objectives while keeping satisfaction and retention high.
- Deliver on commitments by driving performance across Spares, Repairs, New Product Introduction (NPI), Obsolescence Refresh and Sustaining Engineering, and Performance-Based Logistics, taking corrective action when off-plan.
- Collaborate between Avionics sites to ensure operational alignment, on-time delivery, and effective execution of complex service offerings across multiple locations.
- Simplify the operating model by leading cross-functional change across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product, Sales, Digital Technology (DT), Finance, and Contracts to remove constraints and build a sustainable, lean culture.
- Lead, develop, and coach a global organization of ~20 people for operational excellence, clear accountability, and bench depth, including succession planning for key roles.
- Create differentiated customer value by delivering aftermarket solutions that meet or exceed customer needs, align to their priorities, and use their feedback to continuously improve.
- Position the business for success with both legacy and emerging technologies, leading NPI, obsolescence refresh, and through-life support to sustain and grow the aftermarket.
- Champion a FLIGHT DECK culture by coaching Lean and other problem-solving behaviors and holding leaders accountable for results and team development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a High School diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Avionics, Aerospace systems, and/or industrial environments)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Avionics and/or Aerospace systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management and/or Program Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly leading people
- This position requires U.S. Citizenship status
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Avionics and/or Aerospace systems
- AI-savvy, with a demonstrated ability to apply AI to improve operations and customer outcomes
- Proven lean and transformational leadership, with a strong command of FLIGHT DECK / Lean tools and methods
- Experience leading large operations and organizations, ideally with a global, diverse military customer base
- Proven ability to work across a matrix that includes Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product, Sales, Digital Technology, Finance, and Contracts
- A track record of supporting customers and being respected for building strong customer and airframer relationships
- Background in complex commercial deals, contract negotiations, and program management in high-complexity environments
- Strong oral and written communication, including the ability to negotiate and close complex civil and military contracts and to communicate clearly through opposing viewpoints
- An independent, self-starter mindset, able to manage internal and external stakeholders and drive business growth
- Ability to anticipate customer needs, understand their problem statements, and turn that insight into strategy
