ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Loan Officer Supervisor to help grow our Loan Production Team. As a Loan Officer Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of Loan Originators and providing loan origination services to customers of retailers and other partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of Loan Officers and assist in driving growth of their pipelines
- Develop and train loan officers, processors, and loan officer trainees
- Manage and expand relationships with retailers and other partners assigned to your team
- Ensure Loan Officers maintain the highest level of service possible for assigned retailers and customers
- Ensure team provides unparalleled service, ensuring needs are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Exceptional at guiding borrowers through the loan process, from application to closing
- Expert in communicating loan approval to retailer and customer, selling benefits of our program to win loan
- Present and explain different loan options to borrowers and retailers
- Assist department managers in implementing operational and strategic initiatives
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to management
- Manage Loan Officers pipeline, providing coverage as needed for vacation, sick or separation
- Effectively communicate the loan approval or denial reasons to appropriate party as needed
- Work with internal staff to provide alternatives to turn denials into approvals
- Reviews conditions submitted on approved loans, clears conditions when appropriate and submits to Credit Analyst for review and approval
- Ensure teams loans adhere to investor guidelines
- Ability to adjust work and thought process to accommodate multiple investor guidelines
- Audit departments activities to ensure meets objectives and guidelines
- Employ a strong sense of urgency and ownership
- Demonstrate a professional work ethic in all facets of completing work duties
- Recognized leader among loan originators, underwriters and loan officer trainees
- Consistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectives
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, CAPABILITIES & SKILLS
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Proven leadership skills
- Effective decision-making, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 3+ years of Loan Officer experience -or-
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and demonstrated performance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial calculator
