Estate Technician - Part Time

Cumbernauld

£13,251 - £13,949 per year

20 hours per week

We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our team based in Burns Road, Cumbernauld, working within Estates. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning the blocks from top to bottom, including high and low dusting, wiping down touch points, cleaning lifts, hoovering, mopping, flushing water to prevent legionella, signing the relevant paperwork, sweeping out and disinfecting bin areas and general litter picking.

The position sits within Property Services who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients.

The role of Estate Technician will include:

- Undertake basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, in accordance with agreed scheme specification

- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in

accordance with contract specifications and escalate complaints as appropriate

- Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer’s guidance

- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained

Skills and experiences

- British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) or similar or willing to work towards

- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties

- Some practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery

- Basic communication skills for reading written instructions and updating records

- £ 13,251 per annum (rising to £ 13,949 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £26,503 based on 40 hours per week rising to £27,898 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance.
