Job Summary

The Research & Development Intern will support the development of one or more next-generation regenerative tissue products being developed at Ostoegenics Biomedical. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial product development.

The successful candidate will contribute to laboratory research, experimental design, testing, data analysis, and prototype evaluation. This role is ideal for a Master's or PhD student seeking industry experience, though recent graduates and individuals who have already completed advanced degrees are welcome to apply. If your academic program offers internship credit, we are willing to work with your institution to help satisfy applicable requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation, processing, characterization, and testing.
- Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of laboratory experiments supporting the development of novel regenerative tissue products.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data using scientific and statistical methods.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of new product concepts, prototypes, and manufacturing approaches.
- Conduct literature reviews to accelerate prototype development.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and research documentation.
- Support verification and validation testing activities related to product development.
- Participate in research discussions and contribute ideas for improving product performance, manufacturability, and clinical utility.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures and applicable quality system requirements.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's or PhD degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Tissue Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Ability to conduct organized experimental work and maintain detailed records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information in written and verbal formats.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while receiving mentorship and guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience conducting laboratory research in an academic, industrial, or clinical research environment.
- Experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.

For Field Sales roles, the salary range listed reflects base pay only and does not include incentive pay opportunities under the applicable sales compensation plan
