Position Summary

This newly created Account Executive, Metro Accounts position is responsible for driving profitable growth through the acquisition, development, and retention of customers within the (Twin Cities Metro area) territory. Operating from a branch location, this role serves as a trusted business advisor, delivering innovative solutions that help organizations reduce risk, improve compliance, and achieve their business goals. You'll represent a diverse portfolio of safety supplies, cloud-based technologies, training programs, consulting services, and outsourced service offerings to decision makers across a variety of industries.

The successful candidate will spend most of their time in the field prospecting, conducting customer meetings, identifying opportunities, presenting tailored service solutions, and managing long-term client relationships. This position requires a high degree of business acumen, solution selling expertise, and the ability to navigate complex decision-making environments.

This role requires working from the branch office, with frequent customer visits throughout the Twin Cities metro area. This position will not be a work from home role. To be considered for this role, you must reside in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington County.

Job Responsibilities

New Business Development
• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with branch and company objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market engagement.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities within assigned accounts and target markets.
• Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, customer visits, and business development campaigns.
• Secure new customer relationships and expand market share within the territory.

Consultative Sales
• Analyze customer challenges and recommend tailored service solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Develop and present complex proposals, business cases, and solution recommendations.
• Lead negotiations and close service agreements while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Manage lengthy and multi-stakeholder sales cycles effectively.

Account Management
• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal Sales Associates as necessary when working a joint opportunity
• Conduct regular business reviews and identify opportunities for additional growth and service expansion.
• Ensure customer retention through proactive engagement and exceptional customer experiences.
• Collaborate with operations, customer care, and leadership teams to deliver on customer commitments.

Territory Management
• Manage a defined geographic territory from an assigned branch location.
• Prioritize customer visits and prospecting activities based on revenue potential and growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity status, and sales forecasts within CRM systems.
• Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer developments.

Branch Collaboration
• Partner closely with branch leadership and operational teams to align customer expectations with service capabilities.
• Participate in branch sales meetings, training programs, and strategic planning activities.
• Deliver group demonstrations and support Branch and Marketing sponsored events

Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of outside sales, business development or consultative sales
• Demonstrated success in prospecting and generating new business opportunities.
• Experience managing customer relationships and complex sales cycles.

Preferred
• Experience selling business services, managed services, SaaS, or other complex service offerings.
• Experience working with executive-level decision makers.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Frequent car travel required for this position.
