- Compensation: $70,000-80,000 annually depending on experience

What the role is about:

As a Master HVAC Technician, you will lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and dehumidification systems across Vireo Health's retail dispensaries and commercial cultivation and production facilities throughout Colorado. You will serve as the senior technical expert on our facilities team, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring systems run safely and efficiently, and mentoring less experienced technicians while helping us maintain the controlled environments our products depend on.

What impact you’ll make: 
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on HVAC, refrigeration, and dehumidification systems across Colorado retail dispensaries and commercial cultivation and production facilities

- Install, calibrate, and commission new HVAC equipment to support facility build-outs, expansions, and retrofits

- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to minimize equipment downtime and product loss

- Ensure all HVAC work complies with state and local mechanical codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications

- Manage relationships with HVAC vendors and subcontractors, and coordinate outside work when needed

- Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-call, after-hours support as needed

- Monitor building automation and control systems to optimize environmental conditions and energy efficiency

- Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and equipment documentation

- Train and mentor junior technicians on system troubleshooting and best practices

- Partner with facilities and operations leadership to plan preventive maintenance schedules and capital improvement projects 
What you've accomplished:
- 5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, including experience in both commercial and retail environments

- Colorado state-required HVAC licensure at the Master or Journeyman level, plus current EPA Section 608 Universal certification

- Proven expertise with commercial refrigeration, rooftop units, mini-splits, dehumidification systems, and building automation controls

- Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls troubleshooting

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between retail and commercial sites across Colorado

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environmental conditions, including cultivation and production facilities

- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and job sites

- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred but not required
