The Inbound Life & Long-Term Care (LTC) Sales Assistant serves as the first point of contact for financial advisors seeking information about life insurance and long-term care planning solutions. This role supports the sales team by handling inbound inquiries, qualifying opportunities, scheduling appointments, assisting with application and underwriting processes, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-oriented, comfortable working as a team.   Expected to develop a working knowledge of life insurance and long-term care products, concepts, underwriting, and sales processes within 3 to 6 months of hire through a combination of management coaching, team support, formal training, and self-directed learning.

Key Responsibilities

Advisor Support

- Respond promptly to inbound phone calls, emails, and digital inquiries regarding life insurance and long-term care solutions.
- Provide product information, educational materials, and general sales support to financial advisors.
- Conduct initial needs assessments and gather relevant client information.
- Maintain accurate records of advisor interactions in CRM systems.

Sales Support

- Assist sales representatives with case preparation, illustrations, proposals, and presentations.
- Monitor sales opportunities and facilitate follow-up activities to advance prospects through the sales pipeline.
- Coordinate the collection of required documentation for applications and underwriting.
- Navigate contact management, illustration, and other relevant software systems such as Outlook and Excel.

Customer Service

- Deliver a high-quality advisor experience by resolving inquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Educate financial advisors on product features, benefits, and available resources.
- Escalate complex product, underwriting, or service issues to appropriate team members.
- Build strong relationships with advisors, Insurance Solutions team members, and carrier partners.
- Maintains compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Administrative Support

- Prepare reports, correspondence, and sales activity summaries.
- Maintain organized digital records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service, sales support, insurance, financial services, or related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting life insurance, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, or annuity products, or the desire to learn and grow in this space
- Life and Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within six months of hire).
- Familiarity with underwriting and new business processes.
- Experience working with financial advisors, insurance agents, or brokerage general agencies (BGAs).

Education/Previous Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from college or university with one (1) to three (3) years securities industry experience. Direct interaction with financial professionals is preferred but not required ~or~
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.
