We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Plant Technician within our Permian EOR Plants group based in Gardner, Co .
Essential Job Duties:
- Daily operations, maintenance, reporting, and surveillance of Co2 gas processing plants, glycol dehydration plants, compressor plants, pipelines, and/or other equipment required to gather, treat, process, sell, and/or dispose of C02 gas and gas-related products
- Indirectly oversee and guide the activity of contractors including, but not limited to: instrument technicians, roustabouts, mechanics, electricians, designers, engineering technicians, and other contract personnel
- Perform energy control on a wide variety of equipment types, sizes, and configuration
- Prepare thorough job plans, isolation plans, and energy control plans for complex maintenance and construction operations performed during plant turnarounds
- Provide direction and stewardship of contractors involved in the construction & maintenance of pipelines
- Respond to “One-Call” notifications, mark pipelines, participate in job-walks, etc. as needed
- Initiate and follow through on the MOC or “Management of Change” process by completing forms, seeking concurrence, cooperating with the PSM/DOT Coordinator, Engineer, and Production Coordinator(s) as needed to safely execute changes in process plants or piping systems
- Use computers to operate SCADA systems, participate in CBT/WBT education, check email, utilize (SAP), research solutions on the internet/intranet
- Safely drive and operate a 4-wheel drive automobile
- Train & mentor less experienced Technicians and contractors
- Respond to callouts and overtime as needed to perform the above
- Other roles & duties as determined by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Strong personal commitment to a clean and safe workplace
- Team player, self-starter, committed to excellence
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Clean DMV and valid CDL
- Basic computer skills
- Some experience or training in an energy-related industry
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, night shifts, and/or rotating shifts as needed
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Certificate of completion/graduation from a relevant trade or vocational training center
- 5+ years of directly applicable experience with little or no supervision
- Strong technical and/or mechanical aptitude
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Previous certification as a PSM-qualified operator of a “PSM-covered facility”
- HAZWOPER certification: Awareness, Operations, or Technician level
- DOT, CSFM, DOGGR Pipeline integrity management program accountability
- Proficiency in a wide variety of computer applications
- Technical/engineering or industrial construction background
The salary range for this position is:$ 36 - $ 50 Hourly
