Labcorp is seeking a Scientist II – Diagnostic Testing to join our team in Burlington, NC!

Job Responsibilities:

The Scientist II is responsible for leading development of rapid lateral flow assays for Labcorp Point of Care. This includes defining diagnostic criteria, identifying reagents, verifying test design, and exhibiting some creativity in experimental design.  They receive general instructions on routine experimental procedures and independently follow established protocols. May require detailed supervision on new assignments.  Takes regular direction and coaching from supervisor.  Effective in people interactions and is recognized as important contributor to designated projects.  Contribute to report writing in area of expertise.  Contributes to team meetings and presents data to peers. May participate in external presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master of Science degree with 10 or more years of experience in immunoassay development OR PhD with 3 or more years of experience in immunoassay development

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1 or more years of experience with lateral flow or ELISA sandwich assays using blood and saliva samples.

Additional Job Standards:

- Proficient writing abilities and abilities to contribute to reports in area of expertise.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively prepare and deliver presentations
- Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
