Role
The Indirect Loan Servicer is responsible for processing and coordinating consumer loan applications received through the credit union’s indirect lending partners. This position ensures loan applications and supporting documentation are accurately processed, approved loans are funded in a timely manner, and all lending requirements are satisfied in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. The Indirect Loan Servicer works closely with dealership personnel, members, loan officers, underwriters, and internal lending departments to provide efficient service and ensure a smooth loan process from application through funding.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Process and coordinate indirect consumer loan applications received through participating dealerships and lending partners, ensuring applications and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with credit union requirements.
- Review application, loan, income, credit, collateral, insurance, and purchase documentation as required; identify discrepancies and obtain missing information.
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, dealership personnel, members, and internal departments to satisfy loan conditions, resolve documentation issues, and facilitate timely loan processing and funding.
- Prepare, document, and fund approved loans, ensuring loan terms, rates, collateral information, and other approved conditions are accurately entered into the appropriate systems.
- Review loan contracts, purchase orders, invoices, titles, lien information, insurance, and other required documentation prior to and following funding.
- Coordinate with Title and Lending departments to ensure collateral, title, lien, and related documentation is properly processed and maintained.
- Monitor funded loans for outstanding documentation and follow up with dealerships and other parties to obtain required items within established timeframes.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical loan records and ensure documentation is properly scanned, filed, and retained.
- Provide timely, professional service and support to members, dealerships, and lending partners while maintaining established credit union lending standards.
- Identify potential credit, fraud, documentation, collateral, or policy exceptions and escalate matters appropriately.
- Maintain current knowledge of credit union products, lending regulations, and indirect lending practices.
- Protect confidential member and financial information and comply with credit union policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform audit and onboarding calls to members.
- Perform other related lending and administrative duties as assigned.
