Position Summary

Based in London, the Retail Planner, EMEA will be a critical driver of commercial growth, inventory optimization, and sales performance across Westman Atelier’s expanding prestige retail network in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (including key luxury partners such as Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Space NK, and Cult Beauty). Reporting to VP of Global Business Planning with a dotted line with the GM, EMEA, you will oversee demand forecasting, stock planning, sales analysis, and stock replenishment across retail doors, e-retail partners, and pop-ups/counter spaces. You will serve as the operational bridge between global supply chain, regional sales, and retail merchant teams to ensure maximum stock availability, optimal sell-through, and healthy stock-to-sales ratios while upholding our high-touch clean luxury standards.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Merchandise Planning

- Develop and maintain sales, stock, and inventory plans based on business targets and historical performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales and stock forecasts.
- Monitor sales performance, stock levels, sell-through, and inventory turnover.
- Identify risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Support Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and inventory budgeting.
- Analyze product performance by store, category, region, and channel.
- Ensure the right products are available in the right stores at the right time and in the right quantities.
- Develop, maintain, and refine rolling sales, inventory, and margin forecasts (WSSI/OTB) across all doors, including e-retailers and regional retail touchpoints in EMEA.
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales performance (sell-in vs. sell-through) against financial targets, identifying key risks, trends, and growth opportunities by door, region, SKU, and shade category.
- Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams on seasonal core assortment management, shade extensions, limited-edition launches, and regional promotional/gifting programs.
- Maintain accurate planning data and ensure timely updates to forecasts and budgets.

Inventory Management & Operations

- Monitor door-level stock-to-sales ratios, lead times, and replenishment schedules to maximize stock availability while mitigating excess inventory and markdowns.
- Serve as the primary EMEA liaison to Global Supply Chain and Logistics to track order fulfillment, manage shipment allocations, resolve inventory constraints, and ensure OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) delivery to key retail partners.
- Lead allocation strategies for New Product Developments (NPD), ensuring launch allocations arrive seamlessly on counters and online across all retail partners in alignment with regional marketing calendars.
- Analyze variances between actual performance and plan and provide actionable insights.

Retailer Relationship & Commercial Collaboration

- Build strong, collaborative relationships with retailer merchandising, planning, and buying teams to review stock positions, align on replenishment targets, and secure optimal space/depth for hero SKUs.
- Participate in regular trade and business reviews with key retail partners, providing detailed, data-driven reporting and stock strategies.
- Work alongside the Field Sales and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure tester stock, promotional collateral, GWP (Gift with Purchase) allocations, and visual display assets are planned and fulfilled on time.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in Business, Retail Management, Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s, a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of retail planning, demand planning, merchandise planning, or inventory management experience within prestige beauty, luxury cosmetics, skincare, or premium lifestyle retail in the UK/EMEA market.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling) and experience using retail planning software, ERP tools (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar), and retailer EDI/portals. Experience with WSSI (Weekly Stock, Sales & Intake) tools is essential.
- Deep understanding of the UK and European luxury retail landscape and wholesale practices (experience managing accounts like Harrods, Selfridges, Space NK, Sephora, or Douglas is highly advantageous).
- Strong financial savvy with proven experience managing Open-To-Buy (OTB), sell-through metrics, stock cover, and inventory turnover targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of building effective relationships with external retail buyers and internal cross-functional teams.
