The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services. We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high-quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve.

Primary Objective:
Under close supervision, the student or volunteer will gain hands-on experience in patient care and administrative tasks while developing skills for a career in healthcare or completing required clinical hours. This is a non-paid position.
What You'll Do:
- Support patient care alongside clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Gain hands-on experience in a community health setting.
- Work with a resilient, diverse patient population.
What We're Looking For:
- Interest in community health and serving underserved populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural humility.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
As a condition of starting your volunteer or clinical hours, all candidates are required to meet specific immunization standards. Documentation of current immunizations, including Varicella, TDAP, COVID-19, MMR, and Hepatitis B, as well as TB test results valid within the last two (2) years must be submitted before the start date. Failure to provide this documentation may result in a delayed start or withdrawal of the volunteer or clinical hours placement.
