About this role
The Specialty Loan Servicing Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day servicing of commercial and specialty loan relationships. This role works closely with borrowers and internal banking teams to ensure loan transactions are processed accurately, customer requests are handled promptly, and servicing requirements are completed in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. The position supports a variety of specialized lending products and plays a key role in delivering a high-quality customer experience while maintaining operational accuracy and compliance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT CELTIC BANK
- Process loan payments, advances, disbursements, paydowns, and other servicing transactions.
- Maintain accurate loan records, documentation, and system data.
- Review funding requests and verify required documentation and conditions prior to funding.
- Monitor borrower reporting requirements and follow up on required financial information and documentation.
- Research and resolve servicing discrepancies, transaction issues, and customer inquiries.
- Support cash management and account-related servicing activities.
- Partner with lending, portfolio management, credit, and operations teams to support customer relationships.
- Ensure servicing activities comply with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and the overall customer experience.
Requirements

Preferred:
- Experience in banking, loan servicing, lending operations, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience processing financial transactions or working with loan documentation.
- Experience supporting customers in a regulated or financial services environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Commercial lending experience is a plus but not required..

- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. - Mobility: The employee in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Communicate: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and will frequently communicate with others. Must be able to read, write and understand fluent English.
- Work Model: The employee in this position will work either a fully Onsite, or Hybrid work model. All employees, regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related occasions.
- Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah office – department and job requirements will determine eligibility.
