Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
- Implement individualized treatment plans in home health and skilled nursing environments.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active, current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in home health, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across a variety of care settings.
