About the role

The CDL Driver II is responsible for transporting wastewater between Reworld facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service. This position operates a manual day cab tanker and is responsible for completing multiple daily loads on a dedicated local route. Drivers are home daily and play a critical role in supporting facility operations through the safe and efficient transportation of liquid waste materials.

Primary Responsibilities

- Safely operate a CDL Class A tanker vehicle to transport wastewater and leachate between designated Reworld facilities.
- Perform multiple daily runs while adhering to DOT regulations, company policies, and scheduled delivery timelines.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Safely load, transport, and unload liquid waste materials in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety while operating company equipment and working at Reworld facilities.

Additional Responsibilities

- Complete required transportation documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, inspection reports, electronic logs, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly placarded and compliant with applicable DOT requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, operations personnel, and facility staff regarding load status, route progress, and any delays.
- Follow established safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives and training programs.
- Accurately document vehicle inspections, maintenance concerns, and incident reports as required.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Must be 21 years of age or older.

- Valid CDL Class A license required.
- Tanker endorsement required.

- Minimum of 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience.

- Ability to operate manual transmission equipment.
- Previous experience operating tanker vehicles

- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT qualification standards.

- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous tanker driving experience preferred.
- Experience hauling liquid products, wastewater, industrial byproducts, or other bulk liquids preferred.
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Schedule & Route

- Home Daily position.
- 2nd Shift schedule, typically beginning between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM and ending between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
- Opportunity for consistent hours and steady workload.

Physical Demands of the Role

- Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely access and work around tanker equipment.
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to safely operate commercial motor vehicles and perform required job duties.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 25.10 - 33.37 USD per hour
