THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Corporate Manager, Health & Safety, to lead and develop a team of Corporate H&S Advisors supporting operations and capital projects across the business. This role can be based in Edmonton, Calgary, or Grande Prairie and reports to the Director, Health & Safety. For candidates based outside of Calgary, regular travel to the Calgary office will be required.

The Corporate Manager, Health & Safety will help translate Keyera’s Safety & Operational Excellence strategy into effective tools, guidance, and proactive risk-reduction practices that support safe work across operating facilities, project environments, and technical field operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and support a team of Corporate H&S Advisors in their day-to-day work with operations and capital projects.
- Work with operations, project teams, and frontline leaders to understand safety challenges and support practical, risk-based solutions.
- Support incident investigations, follow-up actions, and sharing of lessons learned across the organization.
- Partner with operational leadership, supervisors, and employees to embed a proactive, psychologically safe safety culture.
- Help develop and roll out practical H&S tools, standards, procedures, and safe work practices for use across the business.
- Review leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends, gaps, and areas that need attention.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly H&S reporting, ensuring information is accurate, useful, and shared on time.
- Support Serious Injury and Fatality prevention through Life Saving Actions, high-energy hazard management, and risk-reduction initiatives.
- Partner with Process Safety and Safety Learning & Assurance teams to align safety programs, learning, and improvement work.
- Coordinate key safety initiatives, including the Keyera Safety Symposium, Safety Reconnects, and other H&S improvement projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Relevant post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, Canadian Registered Safety Technician designation, or a clear path to obtain a recognized safety designation within a reasonable timeframe.
- 10+ years of progressive occupational health and safety experience within oil and gas, energy, industrial operations, or a related environment.
- Experience supporting operational or process safety in active industrial environments.
- Experience with leading safety professionals is a strong asset
- Exposure to processing facilities, terminals, pipelines, or similar operating environments would be considered an asset.
- Experience developing, implementing, or supporting safe work practices, safety standards, procedures, or safety programs.
- Experience with critical risk management, high-energy hazard management, Serious Injury and Fatality prevention, Human and Organizational Performance methodologies, or similar risk-reduction programs.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety regulations, risk management practices, and safety management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using reporting, maintenance, or business systems such as Power BI, Maximo, or similar tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 5-year driver’s abstract.
- Ability to travel to Keyera facilities as required.

- Availability for on-call duties, including nights and statutory holidays as part of coverage requirements.
