JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Product Engineer is responsible of change management, leads technical efforts, resolves engineering challenges & collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements for products in sustaining phase. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, change management knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on the strategic goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lead Product Engineer will be knowledgeable of the processes and facilitate other engineers at the site. This individual is also

responsible for the implementation, support, training, and troubleshooting for the process being assigned in their facility. This position is assigned to an individual who has the profile to understand the scope of all the manufacturing chain process and the implications of each change and be considered to be a leader within the product engineering team. The Lead Product Engineer is responsible for ensuring excellence on the assigned manufacturing process, as determined by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role requires knowledge on New Product Introduction and Program Management methodologies.

Ensure the correct and effective implementations of custumer (internal & external) requirements using the corresponding methodologies and tools to evaluate impacts, eliminate or mitigate all risk identified and validate the actions in order to be in compliance with internal quality policy and customer product and process specifications or standard.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
·         Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
·         Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
·         Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
