Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Overlay Containment Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of temporary cable containment systems for major events, sports venues, or large-scale infrastructure projects. They will manage and lead technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools. Successful candidates will have extensive experience managing temporary cable pathways supporting areas such as broadcast, technology, power, and telecommunications systems in complex multi-venue environments.

This is a pivotal role to work on one of the most exciting, large and complex local projects: Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA .

Must be able to be in-person for 3-4 days a week in the DTLA AECOM studio and/or the LA28 office.

Beyond our role with Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA., we’ve been trusted to move the city’s infrastructure forward across the energy transition, water security, mobility, sports, education, public safety, climate adaptation and carbon reduction.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead design and layout of temporary cable containment systems across multiple venues.
- Produce and review containment layouts using Revit.
- Develop and maintain containment drawing and layout standards and Revit drawing standards.
- Prepare containment solution catalogs.
- Estimate containment quantities and material requirements.
- Compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Support procurement processes by preparing scopes of work and technical tender documentation.
- Coordination with architecture, structural, MEP, and venue operations.
- Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, and schedule performance.
- Self-starter and result oriented individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration and leadership skills and ability to communicate and coordinate project goals to the rest of technical staff and other team members.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience delivering temporary cable containment systems for large-scale events or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with: Temporary cable pathway planning
- Cable containment
- Broadcast/technology (IT) infrastructure
- Power distribution systems
- Overlay engineering
- Temporary engineering solutions

- Strong proficiencies in Revit, Bluebeam, and ACC.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and containment layouts.
- Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management experience.
- Relevant certifications, including BICSI RCDD, PMP, etc.
- Experience delivering large venue or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of telecommunications and electrical standards
