Position Overview

Golden Circle Ford Lincoln in Jackson, TN is looking for an experienced Parts Counterperson to join our Parts Department.

This position works closely with our service technicians, retail customers, wholesale customers, and other dealership departments to identify, locate, and provide the correct automotive parts. We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable about automotive parts, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy dealership environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers with parts needs

- Identify and locate the correct parts using dealership parts systems and catalogs

- Manage the parts sales process from start to finish

- Locate and order parts that are not currently in stock

- Complete and track special-order parts requests

- Communicate with customers and dealership staff regarding parts availability and order status

- Receive, label, organize, and put away incoming stock

- Maintain organized parts bins and perform regular bin counts

- Properly handle and maintain warranty parts

- Maintain accurate inventory and parts records

- Keep the Parts Department clean, organized, and efficient

- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations

Qualifications

- Previous automotive parts experience required

- Ford dealership parts experience preferred

- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle systems

- Ability to accurately identify parts and understand customer or technician needs

- Strong computer, reading, and basic math skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Detail-oriented and dependable

- Comfortable learning new technology and dealership systems

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Professional appearance and positive attitude

Schedule

Our Parts Department is open:

Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Sunday: Closed

Most schedules are Monday through Friday with every other Saturday , with a weekday off during weeks when Saturday is worked.

No nights or Sundays.
