A fitness center is an active place by nature. People working out on exercise equipment, using free weights, taking group classes… there’s a lot going on and it’s all designed to help people stay in shape and improve their health. Some clients are looking for someone to help determine goals and provide personal training sessions and our trainers are there to assist. From evaluating fitness levels to promoting fitness related programs and education, this position helps people meet their fitness goals while providing a supportive and encouraging environment to do so.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- Perform fitness assessments for members.
- Manage appointments and sales as needed.
- Develop and implement personal training plans for members.
- Assist and assess member progress.
- Prior exercise fitness experience.
- Lead and coach others.
- Customer service skills.
- Understanding of basic principles of fitness assessments, anatomy and kinesiology.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Show sincere interest in others and their concerns.
- Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.

QUALIFICATIONS

- National Commission for Certifying Agencies Accreditation (NCCA) Certification - National Health career Association (NHA)- REQUIRED UPON HIRE
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise/Health related field- Preferred
- 1 Year of Exercise Fitness related experience- Preferred
