Future Surface Force Tactics Support

Sayres is seeking an experienced Future Surface Force Tactics Support Analyst in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.

Responsibilities

In support of the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in advancing Surface Force tactical proficiency, organizational capabilities, strategic communications, and training initiatives, the Future Surface Force Tactics Support Analyst will:

- Support the development and update of Commander's policies and decisions to ensure alignment with higher-echelon guidance, strategic objectives, and communication priorities.

- Identify future organizational capability and capacity gaps and assist SMWDC in developing and implementing solutions, training initiatives, programs, systems, and processes.

- Support cross-functional projects and coordinate with staff to track action items and commitments from identification through completion in accordance with Commander's guidance.

- Develop recommendations and supporting content for SMWDC Strategic Communications Plans , including public-facing messaging designed to increase visibility throughout the Surface Force and highlight efforts to improve tactical proficiency.

- Prepare written communications, messages, talking points, and other materials for the SMWDC Commander, Deputy Commander, Division Directors, Branch Heads, and Warfare Tactics Instructors.

- Develop communication schedules covering major Navy events, symposiums, fleet concentration area visits, and other key engagements to communicate SMWDC initiatives and accomplishments to stakeholders.

- Assess the effectiveness of SMWDC communications and provide recommendations to improve leadership communication and stakeholder engagement.

- Support Maritime Warfare Board of Visitors, Surface Warfare Combat Training Continuum, Executive Steering Committee, and other senior-level meetings and events.

- Coordinate with higher-echelon organizations on readiness reporting criteria and provide recommendations as directed by the Commander's Action Group.

- Support meetings and engagements involving international representatives and coordinate with the Foreign Disclosure Officer to strengthen allied and coalition naval tactical development relationships.

- Support TYCOM Indoctrination in a formal schoolhouse/classroom environment, including scheduling facilities, coordinating instructor availability, verifying student clearances, promulgating class schedules, and collecting student feedback.

- Support the Commander's Action Group Director and Deputy with special projects and time-sensitive tasking directed by the SMWDC Commander.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

- Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Navy Surface Warfare, tactical development, training, operations, or command-level initiatives .

- Experience developing or supporting strategic communications, executive-level briefings, written communications, and stakeholder engagement .

- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, action items, projects, meetings, and senior-leader tasking from initiation through completion.

- Strong understanding of Navy organizational structures, Surface Force operations, training requirements, and tactical development.

- Experience supporting senior Navy leadership, command staff, warfare centers, or similar DoD organizations preferred.

- Experience working with international/allied naval organizations and Foreign Disclosure processes is highly desirable.

- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, time-sensitive requirements, and executive-level tasking in a fast-paced environment.

- Must possess an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance , verifiable in DISS.
