Procurement Program Manager

Overview

The Procurement Program Manager is the critical link between strategy and execution within Sun’s supply chain — the role that ensures sourcing decisions translate into operational reality at the property level and that supplier commitments are honored long after contracts are signed. Reporting to a Category Manager, the Procurement Program Manager is the primary coordinator for all supplier-related activities within assigned categories. This role owns the day-to-day management of Sun’s preferred and strategic supplier relationships: facilitating business reviews, compiling and tracking performance scorecards, monitoring supplier risk, managing the contract repository, and delivering the value expected for the enterprise.
### Job Duties

- Prepare and compile supplier scorecards, consolidating performance data across service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and contractual objectives for Category Manager review. (Essential)

- Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship point of contact between the procurement team and assigned suppliers; manage ongoing communication cadences. (Essential)

- Monitor supplier risk across financial, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and cybersecurity dimensions; flag emerging risks and recommend mitigation actions to the Category Manager. (Essential)

- Escalate and manage remediation of systemic supplier issues, documenting corrective action plans (CAPAs) with clear owners and due dates, and tracking them to closure. (Essential)

- Manage the contract repository for assigned contracts, ensuring contracts are current, properly filed, and accessible within the enterprise platform (e.g., Coupa). (Essential)

- Track contract renewal and expiration dates; proactively alert the Category Manager of upcoming actions to prevent unintended auto-renewals or lapses. (Essential)

- Ensure accurate representation of sourced products and services within procurement catalogs and buying policies. (Essential)

- Institute supplier development and continuous-improvement programs with key suppliers, including improvement targets and joint action plans.

- Surface new savings, service, and innovation opportunities that arise through ongoing supplier management and hand off sourcing opportunities to the sourcing team.

- Ensure suppliers comply with negotiated terms, pricing, and obligations; identify and report value leakage.

- Leverage enterprise spend visibility and procurement platforms to inform performance decisions and provide data-driven insights to the Category Manager.

- Prepare executive-level reports and present supplier performance and program outcomes as directed.

- Coordinate cross-functional involvement from operations, accounting, IT, and other departments to validate needs and secure alignment for program activities.

- Support the Category Manager in preparing materials for category reviews, business cases, and stakeholder presentations.

- Provide input and subject-matter context to category strategy, spend analysis, sourcing execution, contract drafting, managed supplier onboarding, savings tracking and validation, compliance and audit support, and procurement policy development.

- Facilitate business reviews (monthly operational reviews and quarterly business reviews [QBRs]) with preferred and strategic suppliers, coordinating agendas, participants, materials, and follow-ups.

- Coordinate supplier offboarding and transition activities when suppliers are exited, ensuring continuity of service across affected properties.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field (Required)

- Master's Degree (Preferred)

- 5 years in experience in supplier/vendor performance management, or procurement program coordination (Required)

- 5 years in experience in supplier relationship management, or contract management. (Required)

- Must have a valid driver's license

- Demonstrated experience building scorecards, managing SLAs/KPIs, facilitating QBRs, and driving supplier corrective-action and improvement plans.

- Experience coordinating supplier programs or cross-functional initiatives, ideally across a multi-site or portfolio environment.

- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle and category management concepts, sufficient to support strategy execution without owning sourcing or contracting.

- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to influence without authority and build trust with business partners and suppliers.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to performance management and reporting.

- Strong proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools, and procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa).

- Ability to develop supplier evaluation criteria, scorecards, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses.

- Familiarity with supplier risk frameworks (financial, ESG, cybersecurity) and contract lifecycle management.

- Experience in real estate, property management, or portfolio-based operations environments a plus.
