The Nuclear Reactor Maintenance Supervisor leads personnel performing reactor maintenance, refueling, and fuel-handling activities, ensuring a qualified team, safe execution, and compliance with applicable procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:

· Leads personnel performing reactor maintenance, refueling, fuel handling, and related equipment repairs.

· Plans, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to ensure safe, high-quality, and timely execution by qualified personnel.

· Coordinates with Operations, Work Control, Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical Support to resolve issues and communicate work status.

· Verifies compliance with procedures, quality assurance, post-maintenance testing, safety requirements, fatigue rules, and work-hour limits.

· Develop a safe, qualified, and engaged team through training, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning.

· Supports refueling outages across the Duke Energy nuclear fleet, including required travel.

· Maintains technical and leadership proficiency and represents the company professionally.

Basic / Required Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of work-related experience

Desired Qualifications

· Five years of reactor maintenance experience at a nuclear facility or nuclear service company, preferably in a similar role.

· Commercial nuclear facility or nuclear service company experience in maintenance or operations.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to coordinate multiple complex tasks.

· Leadership skills in conflict resolution, employee motivation, teamwork, and safety.

· Commitment to company and station policies.

· Professional and courteous interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Working Conditions

· Work in radiologically controlled areas.

· Exposure to temperature extremes and high-pressure steam or water systems.

· Work in confined spaces that may require respiratory protection.

· Lifting and handling heavy equipment

· Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility. On-site employees are also required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location, not greater than 50 miles one way.
