About this role
Andritz Canada – Hydro Division is offering a winter internship within its Health & Safety & Environment teams for hydroelectric projects , including projects of small, medium, and high complexity .
This internship will allow you to apply your academic knowledge within a leading company in the hydroelectric field. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative and complex projects, collaborating with seasoned experts.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly HSE Meetings or Bulletins;
- Provides assistance in the implementation and update of the health, safety, and environmental plan and associated procedures;
- Provides assistance in the preparation of project HSE documentations (through safe work procedure, Activity Risk Assessment, Job plans);
- Support in the gathering of all HSE training modules and certifications;
- Supports the coordination of health, safety, and environmental aspects of office or facility activities;
- Proposes immediate correction of HSE deficiency; checks if HSE corrections from deficiency are effective;
- Collaborate with HSE Operations Manager or HSE Coordinator for business update on HSE Management System.

As our projects have large scopes and often require years to be completed, your perseverance will be valued with us.
- Student enrolled in bachelor’s degree in in Health and Safety or equivalent;
- Passion for Quality and integrity;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
- Knowledge of Construction Safety Regulations
- Strong communication skills (spoken & written) at all levels of the organization
- Excellent problem solving skills (root cause analysis expertise), sound judgment, initiative & creativity
