Founded in 1979, NDSS empowers individuals with Down syndrome and their families by driving policy change, providing resources, engaging with local communities, and shifting public perceptions. The organizations work is carried out through three key areas of programming: Policy & Advocacy, Research, and Community Access and Supports.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing & Engagement is responsible for supporting NDSS' digital marketing and leading audience engagement strategies with a focus on the website. This role oversees the organization's website, email marketing, paid media, digital analytics, and audience growth initiatives while supporting organization-wide marketing priorities.

- Manage paid campaigns, including Google Ads, and SEO/AEO/GEO strategies.

- Familiarity with AI technologies and a willingness to stay current as the digital landscape continues to evolve.

- Oversee NDSS' website strategy, governance, budget, and continuous improvement.

- Design and implement NDSS email marketing and automation strategy.

- Ensure consistency of brand, messaging, and visual identity across websites and email.

- Support the development and execution of the organization-wide communications and marketing plan(s).

- Partner with departments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize digital opportunities.

- Monitor engagement, analyze trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Lead the development and optimization of website, email, and paid media strategies to support organizational goals including UX and UI.

- Establish and monitor digital performance metrics and provide reports and recommendations based on audience engagement data.

- Manage digital consultants and vendors supporting web, email, advertising, and related initiatives.

- Supervise the Digital Engagement Coordinator and guide digital production and implementation activities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

- 6+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organization

- Demonstrated success managing campaigns across digital, print, and multimedia platforms

- Supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate staff and meet deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Demonstrated experience with website and SEO/AEO/GEO

- Proven ability to design and execute integrated campaigns that achieve measurable results

- Proficiency with marketing and communications platforms

- Knowledge of tracking and monitoring systems like GA4

- Ability to manage multiple projects quickly, simultaneously, and meet deadlines

- Familiarity with Drupal, WordPress, and other content management systems

- Strong attention to detail and brand consistency

- Experience with website accessibility standards and tools

- Familiarity with CRMs and email marketing tools such as Virtuous, Salesforce, or Campaign Monitor

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong willingness to initiate deadlines and time frames for assignments, and follow up on all delegated activities

- Knowledge using Asana or other project management tools

- Proven experience in digital marketing campaigns and implementation

- Experience with a broad range of digital marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies

- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well both independently and within a team
