Job Overview

The Tool & Die Maker / Mold Maker is responsible for building, repairing, modifying, and maintaining injection molds, mold components, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and tooling used to support manufacturing operations. This position utilizes advanced machining skills to manufacture precision components and troubleshoot tooling issues while maintaining strict dimensional tolerances and quality standards.

A Day In The Life

Build, repair, modify, and maintain injection molds and tooling.

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine shop equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Perform precision machining, fitting, polishing, grinding and assembly work.

Troubleshoot tooling and mold issues.

Inspect, clean, repair and reassemble molds.

Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and production teams.

Assist with new mold builds and production launches.

Document repairs and preventative maintenance activities.

Maintain equipment and work areas.

Follow all safety and quality standards.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Minimum 5 years of Tool & Die or Mold Maker experience.

Experience with injection mold repair and maintenance.

Advanced blueprint reading and machining knowledge.

CNC and manual machining experience.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

High school diploma required; trade certification preferred.

Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
