About this role

Providing direct customer service to the employees of one specific major account. This service is provided daily on the customer's premises. This position is a requirement of the group and generally noted on the Request for Proposal (RFP) prior to the closing of the sale.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Provides ongoing customer support with claims and enrollment. The amount of time spent on specific tasks can vary depending on the needs of each individual account
• Apprises Marketing & Sales team of ongoing service issues and potential problems that could affect the group’s renewal
• Works in conjunction with the group’s Account Coordinator to see that any and all issues, procedures, policies and mandates are resolved and communicated in a timely manner
• Maintains a positive professional relationship with the group and all of their employees
• There is no way to break these duties down as they are all intertwined into one overall responsibility of providing quality customer service while maintaining trust and building relationships with the customer
• They can vary from doing claims and benefits education and/or resolution to modifying the group’s SPD
• In addition, this individual can develop reports and tracking systems for both the account and sales team to analyze and assimilate in an effort to improve overall customer satisfaction
• Can conduct Open Enrollment Meetings
• Can be required to produce educational materials such as Newsletters pertaining to group’s benefits
• Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary
• Must attend all mandatory training and/or meetings where attendance is required by management

Job Requirements:
• 3+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Three to five years of service, marketing or sales, preferably in the health care arena, and/or demonstrated, successful service experience with thorough knowledge of the health insurance industry & benefits designs required
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid knowledge of necessary systems such as RBMS
• Strong product knowledge
• Experienced in claims processing
• Strong knowledge of BCBSF procedures and policies
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive professional relationships with both internal & external partners
• Ability to make decisions
• May be required to do presentations during open enrollment meetings

Preferred:
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; experience in the servicing and/or administrative functions of group health programs is helpful
• Knowledge of BCBSF’s functional and regional areas involved in the delivery of managed care services and programs preferred
• Must demonstrate a high level of comfort and poise in issue resolution with account administrators and account management
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated ability to organize and address complex business issues by utilizing strong problem-solving skills
• Work independently in setting priorities and following through on problem resolution
• Excellent presentation skills required
• Incumbent will need to live in the area where the position is housed

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Hourly Pay Range: $24 - $38

Typical Hourly Pay Range: $24 - $30

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
