Executive Director, Partner Product Modernization

As a Modernization Portfolio Product Leader in Co-brand and Partner Product , you drive the cross-product strategy, sequencing, and execution of modernization workstreams that modernize experiences, capabilities, and platforms. You operate at the intersection of product, technology, data, and design to unlock measurable business value while ensuring foundational work is built to support responsible AI-enabled experiences.
Job responsibilities

- Define and own the cross-product modernization vision, outcomes, and multi-quarter roadmap across participating products and platforms

- Align product leaders and technology partners on scope, sequencing, and shared accountability across a matrixed organization

- Establish target-state principles for architecture, integration standards, governance, and migration approach to drive consistent delivery

- Build and maintain a holistic dependency map, critical path plan, and release sequencing across multiple roadmaps and partner implementations

- Stand up the operating model (cadence, forums, decision rights, escalation paths) to enable fast, transparent decision-making

- Translate strategy into executable delivery artifacts, including program epics, milestones, requirements, acceptance criteria, and resourcing assumptions

- Define success metrics and reporting mechanisms (scorecards, narratives, risks, tradeoffs, decisions needed) for executive stakeholders

- Identify, document, and mitigate risks across technical delivery, operations, compliance, data, and partner/vendor dependencies

- Drive simplification and standardization by promoting reusable capabilities, common API patterns, data contracts, identity, and reporting standards

- Ensure modernization foundations are designed to support responsible use of AI and data capabilities without rework later

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- 10 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios across product, platform, data, or technology

- Demonstrated experience aligning multiple product roadmaps and delivering shared capabilities across a matrixed organization

- Strong knowledge of modern integration and data exchange patterns, such as APIs, event-driven architectures, data contracts, and migration strategies

- Working fluency in current AI capabilities and limitations, including the ability to assess where AI changes target-state decisions versus adds cost without value

- Experience defining measurable success metrics, establishing reporting cadences, and using data to drive prioritization and decisions

- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and facilitate tradeoffs with senior stakeholders

- Ability to communicate complex strategy and technical tradeoffs clearly to executives, product leaders, and engineering partners

- Experience embedding risk, controls, and governance into program delivery, especially related to customer data and platform modernization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Experience modernizing partner-facing onboarding, servicing, or integration journeys

- Experience building cross-product operating rhythms and governance for large modernization programs

- Familiarity with designing foundations for intelligent decisioning and AI-assisted customer experiences with appropriate controls and human review
