JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Logistics Engineer is a key leader within Oakley Industrial Logistics, responsible for driving strategic process improvements, automation initiatives, and engineering solutions across North American distribution and warehousing operations. This role leads high-impact projects, develops long-term operational strategies, and enhances efficiency, quality, and service performance throughout the supply chain. The position also provides technical expertise, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership to support operational excellence.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead lean distribution, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives to improve safety, productivity, service levels, and operational reliability.

- Design, implement, and oversee automation, material handling, packaging, and logistics solutions that support scalability and efficiency.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to achieve measurable business results.

- Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and process control tools to drive performance and sustain improvements.

- Provide technical coaching and training to operations teams, engineers, and business partners.

- Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, IT, and Operations to align processes and ensure effective customer fulfillment.

- Lead complex, multi-site engineering and automation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Develop labor standards, capacity models, staffing strategies, and change management plans to support operational performance.

- Design facility layouts and support capital investments related to warehouse automation, equipment, and technology.

- Manage vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

- Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and operational roadmaps while proactively managing risks and communicating progress to leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.

- 6+ years of engineering experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or a related environment.

- Proven success leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects simultaneously.

- Experience designing and implementing automation, material handling, and packaging solutions.

- Strong background in continuous improvement, workflow redesign, and value stream mapping.

- Project and program management expertise, including budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

- Experience developing labor standards, warehouse layouts, and capacity planning models.

- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project (or similar project management tools), and analytics platforms.

- Experience with WMS/LMS systems and labor engineering methodologies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.

- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree.

- Bilingual English/Spanish.

- Lean Manufacturing and/or Project Management certification.

- Experience using Minitab and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.

Pay Range: 109,883.65 - 144,050.73
