About this role
Oversees the internal review process for the department. Reviews and assist with completing risk assessments of all HHS programs. Supervises programmatic, financial and statutory testing of programs; reviews and approves work papers and reports to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, County policies and procedures and fiscal compliance; provides planning, supervisory and administrative support to the Monitoring & Compliance team, performs research, provides legislative analyses; and communicates audit findings to all levels of management.
Management Scope: Supervises, trains and evaluates fiscal and program monitors.
Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance or in a job related field of study. Three (3) years of work related experience, including one (1) year supervisory experience.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Requires thorough knowledge of the Single Audit Act and OMB circulars. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard office environment. Required to supervise staff at various off-site locations.
