The building maintenance position helps keep our club’s safe, clean, functional, and operating at its best. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining a high-quality facility.

The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Through CAC-funded programs, building maintenance staff have the opportunity to earn CPR certification and become a State of Illinois Certified Pool Operator . This is an hourly full-time position and is based on a minimum of 40 hours per week. On occasion, some projects or tasks may need to be performed after club hours. Starting pay is $26-$36 an hour, with benefits, sick time and paid PTO.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Maintain the club’s buildings, pools, HVAC systems, equipment, and surrounding property.
- Perform preventative maintenance on pool, HVAC, laundry, fitness, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Respond to facility emergencies and complete repairs to keep the club running safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance or safety issues before they become larger problems.
- Complete maintenance requests, manage supplies, and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while providing professional service to members, staff, and vendors.
