Security Software Engineer

We are hiring a Security Software Engineer for our security team to design and build scalable security services and controls for Gridmatic. You’ll design and build scalable security services, controls, automations, and guardrails across Gridmatic’s cloud and compute environments.

The security team at Gridmatic owns a broad set of security controls and policies across the company. As a Security Software Engineer, you’ll be a trusted technical expert on the security of Gridmatic’s platforms, working closely with engineering, platform, and IT teams to make security a foundational part of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and operate core security services that protect Gridmatic’s critical business systems and infrastructure

- Help establish and maintain secure patterns for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, microservices, and other platform technologies

- Drive continuous improvement of the security configuration and posture of our compute platforms and cloud services

- Collaborate closely with Platform and IT teams to integrate security into infrastructure, platforms, and services by default

What we need out of a Security Software Engineer:

- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering with relevant experience in security

- Strong experience designing and building scalable software systems

- Proficiency in GCP, AWS, or a similar cloud platform

- Familiarity with Golang, Python, or a similar programming language

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and microservices architectures

- Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform

- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including system design, testing, observability, and maintainability

- Strong understanding of security best practice and secure design principles

- An execution-focused mindset, capability of navigating through ambiguity and delivering results

Pay range $180,000 — $270,000 USD
