As a Multi-Site Camp Director at Steve & Kate’s Camp , you’ll lead the teams, programs, and partnerships that bring unforgettable camp experiences to life across multiple locations. You’ll recruit and develop seasonal leaders, build strong relationships with families and community partners, and help create safe, welcoming environments where children can learn, explore, and thrive.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support seasonal camp leadership teams across multiple locations while creating safe, engaging, and inclusive experiences for campers, families, and staff
- Recruit, hire, train, and coach seasonal employees, helping build strong teams and a positive camp culture
- Build relationships with families, schools, and community organizations while promoting camp programs and growing enrollment
- Oversee camp operations, including staffing, compliance, budgeting, logistics, and vendor partnerships, to help programs run smoothly
- Provide leadership and support during day-to-day operations, responding to challenges, resolving concerns, and ensuring exceptional experiences for campers and families

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of supervisory, camp, education, or childcare experience required
- Previous experience leading and developing teams required; multi-site leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing operations, budgets, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel throughout an assigned region and work on-site during camp operations

Physical Requirements:

This is an in-person leadership role in a day camp setting that provides supervision, program delivery, business management, and customer, client and/or host location services per Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance. This role must be performed in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

This role includes a mix of office‑based work and hands‑on supervision throughout the camp. Responsibilities may include interacting with families and host locations, supervising staff, and occasionally covering caregiving duties as needed. Candidates must be able to meet all health, safety, and training requirements; remain alert and responsive throughout the workday; move throughout indoor and outdoor camp spaces; and alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. When assisting with caregiving, the role may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, performing routine physical movements, and maintaining active visual and auditory supervision of children.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $73,000 - $80,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
