Job Details
Reporting to the Director and working closely with the President of the Women’s Board, the Development Associate provides project management support for the work of the Women’s Board and Auxiliaries including special events, fundraisers, board meetings, gift processing management, membership data management, communications management and day-to-day management of volunteer activities and administrative needs. The Development Associate assists in managing event logistics including ticket purchases, communication plans, print and digital collateral, and onsite or virtual support during events. As a key member of OIA’s Abington Office, the Development Associate will build and maintain relationships with volunteers and aim to deepen their philanthropic engagement with Jefferson.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Serve as a project manager for Women’s Board and auxiliary projects, committee functions, and fundraisers/activities, working closely with the Director, Women’s Board President, and other volunteer leaders.
- Assist auxiliary event committees with developing and executing event planning timelines, task lists, and communications plans.
- Liaise with OIA and JAH Communications teams, assisting with digital communications (building and managing event pages, online registration, etc.) and print collateral projects.
- Manage all aspects of ticketing for auxiliary events including attendance tracking and ticket sales/marketing.
- Manage gift processing including processing donations and producing gift acknowledgements to ensure timely stewardship of gifts.
- Manage communications and documents related to Women’s Board activities such as scheduling meetings, developing meeting agendas, presentations, and minutes, updating and managing by-laws, and creating and distributing Women’s Board and auxiliary handbooks.
- Manage communications and processes regarding Women’s Board and auxiliary membership including dues, new member voting and registration, service recognition, attendance, and updating membership profiles.
- Ensure accurate and timely event data in Raiser’s Edge database.
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Proficiency in and/or ability to quickly learn multiple technical systems and platforms, including but not limited to: MS Office and Adobe products, Raiser’s Edge database, CVENT, auction sites such as One Cause, iDonate donation platform, Qlik or other reporting tools, Zoom, SignUp Genius, Doodle, and social media platforms.
- Prioritize working efficiently and take the lead on developing and implementing more efficient processes when needed.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and multiple projects at once, while maintaining high attention to detail
- Highly motivated and responsive team player, willing to take initiative and help others as needed.
- Represents the Office of Institutional Advancement and Jefferson at events and public functions as needed.
