Summary
The Inventory Manager leads inventory control operations, directs a team and owns inventory accuracy, aged inventory reduction, and inventory-related financial results. This role sets regional inventory processes and standards and partners with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Service, and Administration.

Essential Functions

- Lead SAP training and competency standards for warehouse and inventory teams
- Own aged inventory targets for branches and the region, and drive reduction plans with branch leadership
- Oversee and approve returns to vendors and RTV purchase orders, up to established authority limit
- Partner with Finance to resolve claim invoice, receiving, quantity, and cost discrepancies, and lead root-cause prevention.
- S erve as the regional escalation point for warehouse and purchasing issues.
- Maintain stock lists/settings.
- Ensure cost accuracy and data integrity for material setup and system transfers.
- Set aged-material liquidation strategy and pricing guidelines for branch-level sales.
- Analyze regional inventory reports (aged inventory, cycle count progress, not-picked orders) and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Partner with Purchasing to set and maintain Purchasing Cockpit data standards.
- Establish, audit, and enforce warehouse and purchasing best-practice procedures.
- Design and manage the regional cycle count program, including frequency and variance thresholds.
- Lead resolution of system inventory discrepancies, directing team members on corrections.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and cost.

Education & Experience
Required

- Associates / 2 year Technical School
- 4+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations

Preferred

- 2+ years supervisory experience
- SAP Experience
- Bilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish)

- Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process
- Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systems
