We are searching for the best talent for Manufacturing Operation Co-Op to be in San Lorenzo, PR.

- The Co-op term is from January to December, 2027.
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

Purpose

The Process Engineering Co-Op will support the Operations team in the execution of engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will contribute to process optimization, problem-solving activities, validation efforts, quality improvements, and manufacturing support while ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO, and company standards.

You will be responsible for:

- Supporting engineering projects and programs of low to medium complexity.
- Assisting with process optimization to improve output, throughput, equipment utilization, and waste reduction.
- Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects focused on productivity and efficiency gains.
- Participating in Non-Conformance (NC) Quality Action activities from initiation through closure.
- Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to meet operational objectives.
- Coordinating communications between site personnel and equipment suppliers or machine manufacturers.
- Supporting the development, execution, and documentation of equipment and process validations.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies.
- Assisting with capital and cost improvement projects.
- Supporting manufacturing operations by providing technical and engineering assistance.
- Ensuring compliance with Environmental Health & Safety standards and applicable regulations.
- Presenting recommendations and process improvement opportunities to leadership and project teams.

Qualifications / Requirements

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited university is required.
- Graduation date after December 2027 is required.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and validation activities is preferred.

Skills

- Data analysis and process improvement experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Minitab, or similar data visualization and statistical analysis tools is preferred.
