Standard Job Description

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
* 5 years’ experience in Engineering related field supporting the SOF GLSS IDIQ
* ELDP or PMDP graduate
* Onsite working at Engineering Center of Excellence
* Experience managing IWTAs on the SOF GLSS IDIQ
* Capable of managing a large number of ongoing projects while simultaneously managing multiple ongoing proposals in various stages
* Demonstrated program performance and program management experience Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Management process
* Exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills; ability to interact with senior executives (both internal to LM and external customers) in development of long-term strategies
* Experience working with a cross-functional team to solve complex problems/challenges, and meet program commitments
* Demonstrated success in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, and requires independent thinking, problem resolution, and action with minimal direct oversight by senior management
* Strategic thinker and communicator/ability to support program execution strategies.
* This resource will manage all IWTA related projects within the Design to Production Program Area within the OneLM Solutions Mission Area on the SOF GLSS IDIQ. This resource will coordinate and manage resources to ensure all scope is completed within budget and on time or early. This resource will coordinate with POCs from the other program areas within the mission area for cross functional collaboration to accomplish goals. Will work closely with Engineering and Operations Leadership at the engineering center of excellence and at BGS.

Desired Skills

* Master’s degree in engineering management
* Working knowledge of SOF GLSS stakeholders, missions, and acquisition strategies
* Familiarity with LM organization, particularly the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Business Area
* 3+ years demonstrated program performance and program management experience with IDIQ task orders through earned value management
* Formalized program Management training
* Cost account management experience
* Understanding of cross BA and IWTA business practices
* Understanding of engineering products and processes related to design and production

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $108600.00 - $201600.00
