The Manager, HR Systems and Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the optimization of Human Resources systems, processes, and service delivery. The role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HRIS and related tools to enhance operational effectiveness, data integrity, and the overall internal client experience. Working closely with HR Centres of Expertise and organizational leaders, the Manager identifies opportunities to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and strengthen people management capabilities. The role also provides leadership and oversight for HR operational activities and initiatives to ensure efficient, effective, and consistent delivery of HR services.

- You are adept at project and change leadership, capable of guiding teams through HR technology initiatives and process re-engineering.
- You possess strong interpersonal, negotiation, and consultative influence skills, operating with political acuity, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with stakeholders, vendors, and multi-union environments.
- You have a passion for enabling a data-driven HR culture, utilizing mathematical and statistical analysis frameworks to interpret results, translate data into actionable recommendations, and influence HR operations.
- You are a natural coach and guide, comfortable providing training and expertise to end-users regarding HR systems, metrics, and policy changes.

What we are looking for:

- Over 3 to 5 years of directly related experience in HR Operations, HRIS, and HR systems.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project) and strong hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Experience with Workday HCMS, Meditech Payroll & UKG is an asset
- Deep understanding of HR program design and development.
- Expertise in total rewards strategies, benefits and pension administration, alongside a strong background in job evaluation frameworks and leading comprehensive compensation programs

Core Responsibilities

- Lead the design, implementation, administration, and ongoing improvement of our HR technology strategy and infrastructure.
- Manage external vendor relationships (including Statements of Work and SLAs), direct the retention of electronic/physical HR records, and oversee change management and end-user training for HR systems.

- Establish achievable service commitments and report operational performance.
- Lead the delivery of standardized HR metrics, monitor data interface feeds, and build frameworks for analyzing and reporting on human capital metrics to enhance our people insights capabilities.
- Maintain and administer comprehensive total compensation programs within authorized budgets in a complex multi-union environment.
- Lead job creation/evaluation methodologies, conduct market research, audit benefit plans for savings/enhancements, and manage the communication of benefit and pension programs.
- Oversee employee life-cycle processing and lead the continuous improvement of HR policies, best practices, and services.
- Refine centralized processes to improve HR service delivery to various lines of business while managing department activities within budgetary limits.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, days. Due to the 24/7 nature of hospital operations, occasional early morning, evening, weekend or after-hours availability may be required to support operational needs, major implementations, critical staffing issues or escalation events.
