Job Description
The primary objective of this position is to drive finance transformation by enhancing finance capabilities, improving culture, and reinforcing team spirit across the Commercial Finance organization. This role is responsible for leading the Finance Future Fit (FFF) and workstreams to ensure execution of the agreed initiatives.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Leading the Commercial Finance Transformation initiatives under the enterprise-wide themes of Process, Tools, Business Partnership, and People Experience. This includes but is not limited to identifying business needs, collaborating on action plans and driving change management across all levels of the organization.

- Ensure execution of agreed project plans and timelines for all finance capability initiatives.
- Execute the system strategy which includes establishing overall data structure/governance as well as implementing data visualization tools and collaboration tools.
- Act as key liaison between Commercial Finance and Corporate to drive enterprise-wide Finance Transformation roadmap initiatives and by ensuring alignment with other FFF initiatives.
- Coordinating communications and change management for Finance Transformation program for Commercial Finance including development and synchronization of enterprise-wide standard operation procedures
- Actively support the culture club workstreams (Professional Development, Operational Excellence, Inclusive Connections, and Social) to amplify culture and promote continuous improve.
- Coordinate critical meetings such as the quarterly Finance Exchange Town Hall, the annual recognition event, and the annual offsite leadership meeting.
- Ensure U.S. Tx finance SharePoint is developed and maintained
- Finance Capital Plan (US Tx, INT’L Tx and AA)
- The Crisis Management, Cyberattack CAT
- Supports VP with ad hoc requests/matters
- Manage and direct a team focused on tools and technology solutions with an aim for process agility, unification, and simplification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive finance related experience.
- Effective at delivering results in a highly matrix environment.
- Strong understanding of AbbVie financial planning processes and systems.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a keen sense of ownership and advanced team building skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to generate ideas, challenge the status quo, solve problems, and manage innovation to reality.
