Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Cost Analysis & Financial Risk Analyst to support the Supply Chain Cost Analysis and Financial Risk Capability Lead and the broader Subcontracts and Procurement organization. This position performs cost and price analyses of supplier proposals, supports supplier financial risk assessments, and assists procurement professionals in developing fair and reasonable pricing determinations.

The role works with program teams, supply chain professionals, finance, and engineering to evaluate supplier pricing for reasonableness and compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS requirements. The selected candidate will also contribute to major proposal efforts, analytical tools, training materials, and standardized cost and price analysis practices.

The position serves as a subject-matter resource under the direction of the Supply Chain Cost Analysis and Financial Risk Lead and escalates complex, high-risk, or precedent setting matters for technical review and disposition.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

What You’ll Do:

- Perform detailed cost analysis of supplier proposals in accordance with FAR Part 15.
- Evaluate supplier cost elements including direct labor hours, labor mix, labor rates, overhead, G&A, indirect rates, material estimates, supplier quotes, sub‑tier supplier pricing, non‑recurring engineering, tooling costs, and escalation assumptions.
- Assess supplier BOE estimating methodologies and cost buildup structures.
- Conduct cost realism reviews and validate supplier assumptions using historical program data, engineering estimates, parametric models, and industry benchmarks.
- Support supplier fact‑finding activities during proposal evaluation.
- Support the development of cost objectives and recommended negotiation positions for subcontract negotiations.
- Prepare compliant cost analysis documentation for procurement files and government audit readiness.
- Perform price analysis in accordance with FAR Part 15.
- Apply accepted price analysis techniques including adequate price competition evaluation, historical price comparisons, market research, commercial market pricing, parametric and benchmark comparisons, and catalog or published price validation.
- Identify pricing anomalies such as excessive escalation or non‑competitive pricing.
- Support procurement professionals in documenting fair and reasonable price determinations.
- Support the development of independent price estimates and should‑cost targets to inform negotiations.
- Perform financial health assessments of critical suppliers.
- Analyze supplier financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Evaluate financial indicators such as liquidity ratios, leverage ratios, profitability trends, and cash flow sustainability.
- Identify supplier financial distress risks that could impact program execution.
- Support the development of risk mitigation recommendations including alternate sourcing, financial monitoring, and contract structure adjustments.
- Support the development and delivery of training for procurement and subcontract management professionals covering cost analysis fundamentals, price analysis methodologies, supplier financial risk assessment, and proposal evaluation best practices.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of templates, playbooks, and analytical tools supporting standardized pricing practices.
- Provide analytical guidance to procurement professionals and support organizational pricing capability development.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree plus 6 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Experience evaluating subcontractor proposals and supporting negotiations.
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS pricing regulations, including cost and price analysis techniques.
- Experience analyzing supplier financial statements and financial risk indicators.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience within a large aerospace or defense prime contractor environment.
- Experience supporting major competitive program proposals.
- Knowledge of should‑cost modeling and parametric estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with government audit environments (DCAA, DCMA).
- Experience training or mentoring procurement professionals.
- Advanced degree such as MBA, MS Finance, or MS Supply Chain.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years related experience in procurement, pricing, cost analysis, estimating, or proposal support within aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments is preferred.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
