DIRECTOR OF RADIOLOGY - ENTERPRISE IMAGING | Work From Home
Base Salary Range: $142,700.00 - $185,120.00
Primary Function/General Purpose of Position : The Director of Radiology is responsible for strategic, operational and clinical leadership across the health system. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive imaging service line strategy that aligns with the organizations strategic priorities and market growth objectives. Working in partnership with market, hospital, physician and executive leaders, the Director is responsible for service line performance through strategic planning, program development, operational excellence, financial stewardship and collaborative leadership.. This position will evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, will introduce and develop new programs/strategies and provide expertise for regulatory compliance and response as it relates to the radiology service line. This position provides guidance to departmental imaging leaders to drive action and sustainability. The Director will strategically identify, internalize and communicate the critical success factors necessary for a market/geography to support organizational goals
Essential Job Functions :
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as it relates to radiology service line.
- Identifies emerging industry trends, technologies and best practices to position the organization as a regional leader in imaging services
- Leads development of standardized operating procedures, quality metrics, workflow optimization and performance improvement initiatives
- Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities relative to radiology service line throughout the organization.
- Supports clinical leadership to develop and implement market wide strategic goals and objectives, acting as a liaison with market regarding system wide strategies and programs.
- Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities relative to radiology service line.
- Ability to address problems that are broad, complex and abstract, often involving Health Market-wide issues and requiring substantial creativity, resourcefulness, staff engagement, Lean diagnostic techniques, negotiation and diplomacy to develop solutions.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with senior executives to identify needs and seek full range of business, strategic and operational solutions.
- Ability to lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external to the Health System and across functional areas. Results have implications for the management and operation of multiple areas of the organization.
- Serves as an effective communicator of the organization's vision and goals.
- Effectively uses the appropriate financial concepts and tools to analyze situations and make financial decisions that support the achievement of short-and long- term departmental objectives.
Licensing/Certification
One Imaging Modality licensure (required)
Certified Radiology Administrators (CRA) (preferred)
Education
Bachelors in Healthcare, Business, or related field (required)
Masters degree (preferred)
Work Experience
7+ years in operational leadership roles in imaging services, 5+ years supporting multi-site or market service line strategy for imaging services
