About this role

Job Summary

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring materials, schedules, and resources are aligned to support on-time manufacturing execution.
This role serves as the liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, Production, and Quality to proactively manage material readiness, project timelines, and production priorities.

Job Duties:

- Review production schedules and ensure materials are available prior to job start dates.

- Track procurement, inventory, fabrication, and material delivery status for assigned projects.

- Coordinate material staging, kitting, and delivery to production areas.

- Generate and manage pick lists through ERP systems.

- Work with Purchasing to expedite critical materials and resolve shortages.

- Monitor project schedules and identify risks that could impact delivery commitments.

- Coordinate activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Inventory teams.

- Maintain project documentation, schedules, and progress updates.

- Support cost control efforts by tracking material usage, shortages, and project changes.

- Communicate project status, delays, and recovery plans to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in Material Coordination, Production Control, Project Coordination, or Manufacturing Planning.

- Strong understanding of inventory management, material flow, and production scheduling.

- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Operations, or related field preferred.

- Forklift experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to go up and down stairs.

- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.

- Must be able to operate a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.

- Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while performing job functions.

- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
