Your role at Baxter

As a   Customer Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of Baxter's customer master data, ensuring accurate customer setup, account maintenance, and compliance within our business systems. Your work directly supports customer onboarding, order processing, revenue generation, and overall operational efficiency across the organization.

This is where   accurate data drives business success. You'll serve as a key steward of customer information, helping ensure customer records are complete, compliant, and properly integrated across systems while partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues and improve processes.

Success in this role is measured by the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of customer master data management, the ability to support seamless business operations, and contributions to ongoing data governance and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

- Create, maintain, and update customer records within the Customer Master database, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Verify customer information and supporting documentation to ensure all required data fields are completed and validated.
- Manage customer account maintenance activities, including updates, changes, and corrections to existing customer records.
- Maintain customer hierarchies and relationships to support accurate reporting and integration across systems and applications.
- Ensure customer data quality by identifying, researching, and resolving data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and other internal team members to resolve customer data issues and support business operations.
- Support compliance-related activities, including tax exemption management, license validation, and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve data management processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen data governance practices.

What you'll bring

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a data entry, customer service, customer operations, or related administrative role.
- Solid attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of data management principles, data quality, and data governance concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience maintaining customer master data or supporting customer onboarding processes.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations.
- Experience with ERP systems, including SAP or JD Edwards (JDE).
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume operational environment.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $43,000 - $59,400 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
