The Engineer, Desktop Software is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing desktop applications for our medical devices. This role will implement applications that interface, configure, and generate reports on our products. This role will be involved for all stages of software development for these applications, from conception to final product

The position reports to the Manager, Desktop Software and is part of the Software Engineering department located in Irvine, CA and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

- Develop and maintain features for desktop applications that interface with Masimo medical devices.

- Implement software from defined requirements and designs, with guidance from experienced engineers.

- Write clear code and tests, investigate defects, and help improve application reliability.

- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to deliver and support software releases.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

- B.S. degree in computer science, a related field with 2+ years of software development experience.

- Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or a similar language.

- Experience developing, debugging, and testing software.

- Familiarity with Git or another version control system.

- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with other engineers.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- Experience developing desktop applications, particularly with Qt.

- Experience with SQL and relational databases.

- Interest in medical devices or regulated software development.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for up to a 10% annual bonus.
