About this role
We are looking for a Graduate Assistant to support the Enrollment team and provide front-desk coverage as needed. This position serves as an important point of contact for prospective students by responding to inquiries, welcoming guests, and providing prompt and professional assistance to students, staff, and faculty. The Graduate Assistant will also support enrollment data entry and database updates, recruitment events and webinars, team travel, and office and recruitment materials. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with graduate admissions and enrollment operations while developing professional communication, organizational, and administrative skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, comfortable learning new technology, proficient in Microsoft Office, and familiar with or interested in learning relational databases. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Enrollment and Marketing.
Pay:
This position is compensated at the Level A rate on the Midd student wage scale: $16.95 per hour.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to MIIS Enrollment Office email and voicemail
- Provide coverage for the front desk, welcoming guests and answering phone and drop-in inquiries
- Maintaining office supplies and recruitment materials
- Update applicant records and the enrollment database based on communications and other relevant information, with careful attention to accuracy and detail
- Communicate promptly and professionally with staff, faculty, prospective students, and other members of the Enrollment team
- Support travel arrangements and related administrative needs for the Enrollment team
- Support Enrollment events, webinars, and other recruitment activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by Enrollment team staff
Position Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required (primarily Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. Salesforce, Slate etc.) preferred but not required
