Job Description

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa’s external-facing consulting organization, combining strategy, data, and industry expertise to help clients improve performance. Our clients include financial institutions, merchants, fintech's, acquirers, payment processors, and other organizations across the payments ecosystem.

Within VCA’s North America Risk Practice, Cybersecurity Advisory helps clients assess, prioritize, and manage cybersecurity and cyber-enabled risk through advisory and managed services.

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead complex client engagements and help grow the Cybersecurity Advisory practice. This senior individual-contributor role requires cybersecurity expertise, consulting leadership, executive communication, and the ability to turn technical and business evidence into practical recommendations.

The Senior Manager will work with senior client stakeholders and multidisciplinary Visa teams, leading through expertise, influence, sound judgment, and accountability rather than formal people-management authority.

What You Will Do

- Lead cybersecurity advisory engagements from discovery and scoping through analysis, recommendations, executive presentation, and close.
- Assess cybersecurity strategies, governance models, architectures, capabilities, controls, and resilience practices across varied client environments.
- Evaluate technical findings, control evidence, architecture artifacts, security metrics, and stakeholder input to identify risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate complex cybersecurity issues into clear business, operational, financial, and customer implications.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations and pragmatic roadmaps that consider risk, business priorities, technical dependencies, implementation feasibility, and client maturity.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior cybersecurity, risk, fraud, technology, operations, payments, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide project-based direction, coaching, and quality oversight.
- Maintain accountability for engagement quality, timelines, risks, stakeholder alignment, and outcomes.
- Drive business development through consultative discovery, opportunity shaping, proposal development, pricing inputs, and client presentations.
- Help develop advisory offerings, methodologies, tools, and thought leadership.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Experience in cybersecurity consulting, cybersecurity risk management, information security, technology risk, or a related field.
- Experience leading client-facing consulting engagements or complex cybersecurity workstreams.
- Demonstrated depth in cybersecurity risk management and experience across multiple domains, such as security architecture, cloud or application security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, data protection, incident response, threat intelligence, or cyber resilience.
- Experience evaluating cybersecurity environments using stakeholder interviews, architecture and process documentation, control evidence, technical findings, and security metrics.
- Ability to assess security architectures, control designs, technical findings, and remediation plans and translate identified gaps into prioritized recommendations.
- Working knowledge of recognized cybersecurity and technology-risk frameworks, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, or COBIT.
- Experience with financial institutions, payments companies, fintech's, merchants, or other complex or regulated organizations.
- Strong analytical, project-management, executive communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary contributors and manage differing perspectives effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting consultative selling, proposals, opportunity development, or advisory-offering development.
- Knowledge of payments, cyber-enabled fraud, and financial-sector risk and resilience expectations is preferred.
- A relevant certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or a comparable credential, is preferred.
- Ability to travel based on client and business needs.

Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $138,300.00 to $ 221,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
