Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Supervisor

South Shores Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team as an LVT Supervisor and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment and enjoys balancing exam room care, client communication, hands-on procedural support, and team leadership. In this role, you will partner closely with our existing VA Supervisor to support daily workflow, team scheduling, training and mentorship, and efficient hospital operations.

In this position, you will play a key role in:

- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows

- Providing hands-on clinical support across a varied general practice caseload

- Training and mentoring veterinary support team members

- Supporting team scheduling and monitoring daily hospital flow

- Assisting with inventory management

- Helping address client concerns and resolve disputes professionally

- Maintaining a high standard of patient care, client service, and teamwork

Schedule and compensation:

- Compensation: $29 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked

- This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability required for a rotating Sunday morning shift .

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

- 5+ years of veterinary technician experience

- Previous leadership, supervisor, or management experience

- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nevada

- Proficiency in the following skills:

Anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient assessment, nursing care, and recovery

- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography

- IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, and IV/IM injections

- Microscope evaluation, laboratory testing, and radiology

- Surgical assistance, aseptic technique, and safe patient handling

- Medication administration, drug calculations, and accurate medical records

- Client communication, team collaboration, and ability to prioritize and multitask

- Training and mentoring team members with strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail
