Technical Manager

About the role

Tesco Ireland are currently seeking to appoint an Technical Manager for a 1 year project role.The role will be to a large design change from a technical perspective – taking in the artwork approval process and approve packaging against agreed specifications/legal labelling requirements. Also liaising with suppliers on Technical aspects of the products/process.

### You will be responsible for
§ End to end Technical management of the artwork process, working with suppliers & Technical managers. § Ensuring all product artworks meet Tesco Policy requirements. § Attend technical handovers with suppliers for NPD/EPD products. § Generation of labelling copy via supplied IT system in conjunction with suppliers. § Development of data embedded QR code capability with suppliers. § Check and approve labels against agreed specifications and mandatory labelling requirements/Tesco requirements. § Work with technical managers and suppliers on artwork sign off. § Project management of artwork process working with external service provider and suppliers and critical path management to ensure timelines are adhered to. § Ability to work alongside various key stakeholders who feed into the artwork process- New product development team, regulatory and marketing department. § Use of supplied IT systems for artwork approval process. § Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

• Technical experience • A comprehensive understanding of food labelling requirements • Excellent attention to detail • Organisational and project management skills essential • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • IT Skills • Experience necessary • Relevant 3 rd level degree
